CHARLOTTE – Patricia Morris Hood died on September 13, 2026. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 19, 1936, to the late Katherine Hudson Morris and Oren Wilson Morris.

Pat attended Eastover Elementary School, Alexander Graham Junior High School and graduated in 1954 from Myers Park High School. She attended The Women’s College in Greensboro, North Carolina now UNCG.

She was a long-standing member of Christ Episcopal Church, a member of the Charlotte Assembly, The Ivy League Garden Club and the Best Friends Bridge Club. She was devoted to her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her husband of 63 years, John James Hood, Jr. (Jack). Her son John James Hood, III and his wife Diane Dear and her daughter Katherine Hood Fuller and her husband Rodger; her grandchildren Christopher Dear, Allie Dear, Ashley Dear Rivera, Adrian Rivera, Katherine Hudson Fuller (Katie), and Mary Louise Fuller.

She was preceded in death by her brother Oren Wilson Morris, Jr. and his wife Donna Kiser Morris.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Christ Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the Blue Room.
