Lucas Charles Warner
June 11, 2026
RALEIGH – The world lost a bright light when Lucas Charles Warner, 26, was called home to heaven following a tragic automobile accident on June 11, 2026, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Luke was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on June 12, 1999. He lived with joy, enthusiasm, and an open heart, using his God-given gifts on the football field at Charlotte Christian School and James Madison University while reflecting the love of Jesus to all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Charlotte Christian School, Class of 2018, and James Madison University, Class of 2022, Luke pursued a career in pharmaceutical sales. His professional accomplishments reflected the same energy, dedication, and genuine care for others that defined every aspect of his life.
Of all his blessings, Luke’s greatest joy was his marriage to his beloved wife, Karina Grace Warner, whom he met while attending James Madison University. He was incredibly proud of Karina, their two cherished dogs, Charles and Franky, and the exciting journey of faith they were building together in Christ.
Luke loved his family and friends wholeheartedly, expressing that love through warm hugs, an infectious smile, laughter, humor, and a constant word of encouragement. Those who knew him will forever remember his unwavering faith in Jesus, his generous spirit, and his commitment to spreading kindness and joy wherever he went.
We ask that you remember Luke not for the way his life ended, but for the beautiful way he lived. His impact on the lives of others is immeasurable, and his legacy of faith, love, and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him. We are profoundly grateful for the family and friends who helped shape him into the remarkable man of God he became. Our lives are richer because of him.
Luke is survived by his loving wife, Karina Grace Warner; his parents, John and Kay (KC) Warner; his brother, Mitchell Warner; his sister, Abigail Warner; and his parents-in-law, Greg and Deborah Howard. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we rejoice in the assurance that Luke is now in the presence of his Savior. His light, love, and faith will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 Trade Street, Matthews, North Carolina. A reception will follow in the gymnasium at the church.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21: 4 (NIV)
