Our sweet son, Beckett Nicholas Izzard, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. Though his time with us was short, Beckett’s life was full of meaning and touched many people. He was the toughest, bravest, and sweetest little boy.

Beckett loved holding his parents’ fingers, receiving constant back pats from his dad, snuggling with his mom, and hearing the sound of his big sister’s voice. He charmed the many nurses and doctors who cared for him at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Levine Children’s Hospital.

Beckett is survived by his devoted parents, Josh and Anna Blair Izzard; his proud and loving sister, Collins Izzard; his cherished grandparents, Paula Izzard, Martin and Marina Izzard, Carrie and Jim Swing, and James and Elizabeth Bullock; his loving aunts and uncles, Ali Dakich and Nick Izzard, and Mary Layton and Thomas Bullock; and his incredible great-grandmother, Gertie Sumner. He is welcomed into heaven by many great-grandparents who now hold him safely in their arms.

Though his time with us was far too short, Beckett’s strength and spirit will remain with us forever—sweet, resilient, and full of love.

We love you always, Beckett.
