ROCK HILL – Patricia (Pat) Godfrey McCorkle passed away peacefully on her grandson and granddaughters birthday Wednesday, February 25, 2026, two months shy of her 98^th birthday.

Pat was born in Raleigh, NC on April 24, 1928, and raised in Charlotte’s Dilworth neighborhood where she graduated from the old Central High School class of 1947.  In 1950 she met and married the one and only love of her life Cecil McCorkle.

Pat is survived by her son, David McCorkle and his wife, Karen of Lake Wylie, SC; grandchildren, Donovan McCorkle (Tracy) of Kernersville, NC, Christina McCorkle Pellicone (Ryan) of Charlotte, NC and Cara McCorkle Six (Chad) of Fort Mill, SC; five great-grandchildren, Callie and Camyrn Six, Kendall McCorkle Record (Tanner), Mia Pellicone and Luke Pelicone and two great-great-grandchildren, Logan Record and Claire Record.  Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Wanda Baldwin.   Pat was predeceased by her husband, Cecil in 2002; oldest son, Stephen and her sweetheart mom, Mable.

A private graveside service will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.
