Olivia Cecelia Keim

February 19, 2026

Olivia Cecelia Keim - Olivia passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 24. She was born on January 3, 2002, in Kunming, China, and grew up in Charlotte, NC. Olivia is survived by her sister, Isabelle (Matthew) Bucklin; her father, Steven (Lydia) Keim; her aunts and uncles, Janet (Jim) Blane, John (Susan) Costin, Jay (Karen) Keim, and Marcia (Ed) Ollie; grandparents Pat and Larry Keim; along with many friends and extended family who loved her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Renee Costin, and grandparents, Ray and Louise Costin.

Olivia’s optimism and kindness were unforgettable. She had a witty sense of humor that stayed with her through her six-year autoimmune illness. A true animal lover, she worked at a pet store in high school and collected animal mugs, her favorite being a sloth mug. She was bright, preparing to begin her studies at NC State, and often talked about becoming a veterinarian or physician. She loved soccer and played on both club and high school teams. She loved to cook and had even considered becoming a professional chef. She enjoyed traveling and was always up for a new adventure with Isabelle and Matthew, and friends, no matter how small. She was known for saying “Love you more” and her unmistakable laugh, head thrown back.

Special thanks to Kelly Fisher and Peaceful Place Home Care for their wonderful care. Kelly has known Olivia since Olivia was a toddler and will always be family to us. We are profoundly grateful for the love and support she has given Olivia and all of us. To honor Olivia’s spirit, please consider an act of kindness.

A private remembrance gathering will be held for close family and friends.

Arrangements are in the care of Kenneth W. Poe Funeral & Cremation Service, 1321 Berkeley Ave., Charlotte, NC 28204; (704) 641-7606. Online condolences may be shared at www.kennethpoeservices.com.

My condolences. Olivia and I were always next to each other as our last names were similar, and from lower school to now, Olivia has always been someone I was excited and grateful to sit next to. Whether it be a graduation or a classroom, I knew she was always a friend i could giggle with and confide in. My condolences and my thanks to the family who raised such a kind and amazing woman.

Olivia, from the moment I met you in your hospital room and I said “Hi,” seeing your loving and infectious smile blessed my heart. I will remember how you have loved and cared for me, as I think about how when I would leave your home during bad weather, you’d say “Be careful out there.”

Olivia, you will always live on in my heart. Your last words to me a few days ago were “I love you.” I had no idea that would be the last time I would hear those words. I know that you love Jesus, so fly high with the angels.
Until we meet again. Your caregiver and friend, Monica Ince
