Steve, I am so very sorry to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She was a wonderful Christian person, always kind and friendly. I will be thinking of you and Matthew and Brent and their families in the days ahead.

I met Carolyn at Providence United Methodist when we moved to Charlotte.
She didn’t have the word NO in her vocabulary. She was always willing to take the toughest jobs, and made them look easy.
Her cup of compassion, concern and support runneth over!!!
The Lord has brought one classy lady and warrior for the Lord home. Keeping your family in prayer and thoughts.

It is with sadness that I have learned of Mrs. Phillips' passing. Her son, Matthew, recently completed his internship at our church, St Clement's Episcopal in Clemmons, NC and we are very fond of him. We were out of the country when she passed due to my husband's father's passing and we know the grief of a loved one leaving us. We are praying for the family as they move foreward through this time when they say goodbye to a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. We hope that you know that you all have our deepest condolences and know that Mrs. Phillips is now in the nearer presence of the Lord. Sharon and Andres Valdez
