I served under Bob Lunt from 1976 to 1979 when he was the Commander of the 430th Military Intelligence Battalion in Munich Germany. He made a lasting impression with his strong leadership and his sense of humor. He was a fine officer to work with and is one who has remained in my memory. The world is a poorer place with his passing. My condolences to his family.

Jon and I met Bob and Claire when we moved to Charleston over 20 years ago. We became fast best friends because of our mutual love of golf and history. Bob kept us entertained with his stories of working abroad for the government. His perspective on current events always paired well with our many wonderful happy hours. It didn’t take an excuse to spend time together. His devotion to Claire was constant and unwavering. We will miss Bob and his knack for storytelling and sense of humor. There is an emptiness in our lives without him in it.
Love, Jon and Barbie Wyant
