We were blessed to have met Helmuth through the marriage of our children. He was a kind, gentle man who often had a story to share! He and Daragh spent a Chriatmas dinner with us that happened to be our last one with my Dad. I am very thankful for that time together all together. It was a very nice gathering. Our prayers remain for the family and we know Helmuth's love for his family will continue as they honor his legacy of love, service and most importantly, faith in God. May God continue to comfort his family.

Helmuth was my QC Manager at Heritage. He was a great Mentor and very knowledgeable in Organic Chemistry. He will be missed by many in the Laboratory Community. My thoughts and prayers for Helmuth’s family.

My only exposure to Helmuth was through his children. I have worked with Christiaan for 18 years, and Moyra for the last few. Over the years I have heard stories of the firm, but loving father. The woodworker and craftsman who sometimes had ill luck with his tools. The man who would have ad hoc chemistry lessons. The runner and Disney-phile. While I may never have had the chance to meet Helmuth in person, I feel I know a projection of him, as displayed by his children.

Helmuth will be missed, but his legacy will live on in his children. And hopefully I will continue to hear the stories of this amazing man.
