Clara Davis Briggs

October 4, 2024

CHARLOTTE – Clara Davis Briggs was born into heaven on October 4, 2024.  When Clara opened her eyes for the first time, she saw the face of Jesus.

Clara is survived by her loving parents, Caroline and Luke Briggs, and big sister, Milly. The whole family was overjoyed to be becoming a family of four.  Clara was and is loved unconditionally from the first moment they found out she was growing in her mommy’s tummy. Milly was growing into her big sister duties with lots of practice caring for her baby dolls. They all were looking forward to the day they could hold baby Clara in their arms. It was completely unimaginable that when that day finally came, Clara would already be in Heaven. Clara’s far too short life is unfair and does not make sense to the loved ones she leaves behind. She is among a host of angels, spared from the broken world.

Clara is also survived by great-grandparents, Ava Florence Crum, Judy and Lebert Lucas, and Rosalea Briggs; grandparents, Bill and Louise Goode and Jerry and Jill Briggs; uncle, Cole Briggs; aunt and uncle, Haley and Anthony Hendren, and cousins, Ava Louise and Ellie Hendren, in addition to countless extended family members and friends who look to the day they are reunited with her in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Belk Chapel, 2287 Radcliffe Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28274.
