CHARLOTTE- John Konstandinos Stambolitis, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022. John was born August 26, 1946 in Voutyro, Evrytania, Greece to Konstandinos Ioannis Stambolitis and Maria Dimitropoulos Stambolitis.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Stephanie Kyritsis Stambolitis; two children, Maria Prassas and her husband, Jimmy and Konstandinos John Stambolitis and his wife, Candace; four beloved grandchildren, John Prassas, John Stambolitis, Stephanie Prassas and Zachary Stambolitis, all of Charlotte; two sisters in Greece, Eli Georgopoulos and her husband, George and Vasiliki Kantzios and her husband, Serafim; and many nieces and nephews.
John was an easygoing, selfless man who always put his family first. He was surrounded by friends and family during his final days.
A trisagion will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203.

My heartfelt condolences to family. I will always remember him for his smile that is filled with love and respect for everyone around him. He was a true gentleman whose life truly reflected positive outlook in life. He will be dearly missed.
