Donald Gregory Davies

Donald Gregory Davies, 66, of Charlotte, NC died on October 29, 2021 at Atrium Health – CMC following a brief illness. Greg was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a son of Walter Theodore Davies and Avos Modena Freeman Davies.

Greg has lived in Charlotte since he was in the seventh grade. He graduated from Myers Park High School and attended Lees-McRae College. He enjoyed a career in the automotive business and most recently was a business manager for the past seven years at Volvo of Charlotte. Greg and his wife, Beth loved to travel and took many trips to various islands in the Caribbean and beyond. He also love to play golf whenever possible.

In addition to Beth, Greg is survived by their four children, Kimberly Davies, Patrick Davies, Gray Davis and Hunter Davis; four sisters, Cindy Grizzle, Patty Borden (Eddie), Terri Davies and Christine Fletcher (Mark); and one brother, Ken Davies.

A service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the Francis Chapel of Myers Park United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
