Our deepest sympathy goes out to Andy’s wife, children and all of his family as well as the staff at Cadtawsys. We were so very sad to hear about his passing.
We will miss Andy’s kindness and will also miss seeing him over the pass six years at Castaways. He would treat us with some of his delicious fish or special steak that he would prepare by bringing a sample out to us if we were at the restaurant. He knew how much I loved Mahi. When he found out that I had cancer and could no longer go inside due to Covid he would come to the window and check on me and always see how I was doing. He was so giving and had a great sense of humor. We will certainly miss him.
Rest with the angels Andy. You’ll be forever in our hearts. Mike and Kay O’Neill -
My wife and I along with other family members have enjoyed eating at Castaway in Ocean Isle Beach since the day it opened. Regardless of whether you were having breakfast, or lunch the food was always outstanding and Andy always had a smile. When we decided to order takeout I would pull up to the window with my toy poodle "Gracie" and Andy always appeared at the window with 3 strips of bacon for her. Andy will be missed but we look forward to dining with Dean and his crew.

We had the true pleasure of knowing Andy at Castaway for years. He was such a huge personality and always made us feel like his family. He always came over and hugged me and shook my husband's hand. It was a shock to learn of his dealth. We are very sad and will always miss him, but we are better for having known him. Please know that you and your family, especially your grandchildren, whom Andy loved so very much, will remain in our prayers. He always talked about cooking pancakes for them. We loved Andy! We will never forget him, but God is in charge and will now take care of him.
