Jeffrey E. Muhleman, 53, passed away at his home on October 18, 2026.

Born in Newport Beach, California, Jeff enjoyed living in North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida during his life. He earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia and formed cherished friendships while growing up in Charlotte and during his time at the university.

Jeff loved befriending the birds, deer, and other animals that visited his backyard. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and genuine love, care, and kindness toward family and friends.

He is survived by his brother, Lee, and Lee’s partner, Amy Hill; his dear aunts, uncles and cousins, and will be remembered by his close friends with whom he communicated nearly every day.

A private service will be held on October 29, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeff’s memory to the Carolina Raptor Center.
