Alease Bradley Doggett Karnazes, 89, of Charlotte died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Levine Dickson Hospice House Southminster. She was born October 26, 1927 in Jacksonville, FL, daughter of the late Chauncey Bradley and Virginia Doggett Bradley. Alease was a graduate of Harding High School and retired from Westinghouse.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Karnazes was preceded in death by her husband, John David Karnazes and daughter, Deborah Karnazes Austin. A longtime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Alease was also very active in the Eastern Star, Daughters of Penelope and the Ladies Philoptochos Society.

Surviving Mrs. Karnazes are her children, Christine Hondros and husband, Pete of Matthews, NC and David John Karnazes and wife, Tamela of Charlotte, NC, sisters; Dolores Duffey of Berlin, MD, Joan Pongia of Pennsburg, PA and Rosemary Burnette of Jonesboro, TN. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mrs. Karnazes will be held 11:00 AM., Friday, October 20, 2017, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials maybe be made to the Building Fund Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. May her memory be eternal
