    Dr. David Stroup and Family,
    I was sorry to see that Dr. Stroup had passed away. Because he was so important to my momma and to my Aunt Betty, I felt like I knew him. Of course you inherited both of them, and Cindy and I cannot be grateful enough for the care that you gave them. I hope that you have lots of happy memories to help you through this sad time. I am so happy that you could join us last year to celebrate Aunt Betty's life.

    To David and Family,
    I just saw your Dad's obituary in the Observer (I receive it digitally here), and was reminded of how much I really liked your Dad. He had his hands in my mouth for close to 35 years before you took over that task. He was such a fine man and I will always remember him. Every 6 months I knew I would get to see him and chat a little. Like father, like son!! He lived a great life, and I was proud to know him and, through him, you.

    We rejoice with you in your Dad's homecoming;
    We shed tears of sorrow with you for your loss;
    We lift you up in our prayers for strength and comfort;
    And hope that each day gets better and better.
