Becky Gekas Lomax

Becky Gekas Lomax died peacefully in her home on August 9, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born October 8, 1936, to Pete And Eleni Gekas in High Point, N.C.  She was a resident of Charlotte, NC since 1965. 

Becky is survived by her children; Eleni Lomax, Stephanie Lomax Piercy, and Christina Lomax as well as her brother, Harry Gekas; sister-in-law, Nancy Gekas, and many loving grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Lomax; son, Harry Lomax and siblings, Amanda Gallins and Speros Gekas. 

Becky will be remembered for her selfless giving to others as well as her unbridled sense of humor. 

A service to celebrate Becky's life will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 2 PM in the Spiritual Life Center at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Human Society of Charlotte, Donate Life NC, or the Altar Fund at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, N.C. 28270. 

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region for a peaceful and loving transition.
