Dorothy May Luter Hobson

Dorothy May Luter Hobson died June 25, 2017, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Southminster, Charlotte, NC, due to complications arising from a broken hip.  Dorothy was born in Smithfield, VA, on February 1, 1946. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Williamson Luter, Jr., and her mother Pearl Stockman Sykes Luter. Dorothy is survived by her husband William Patrick (Willie) Hobson; their four sons Robert and wife Karen, Ross and wife Trish, Patrick and wife Kristin, Brad and wife Caroline; and by her grandchildren Ross, Jr., Helen, Elizabeth, William, Henry, Lilly, Juliette, and McKinley. She is also survived by her brother J. W. Luter III and wife Karin and by her sister Sue Luter Anderson and husband Ernest.

Funeral services will be private.  The family will receive friends, to remember Dorothy and to honor her life, on Tuesday, July 25, between 5 and 8 p.m., at the home of Patrick and Kristin Hobson, 2401 Ansley Court, Charlotte, NC.
