Mattie Pearl Dover, 95, of Charlotte, NC, died April 11, 2016. She was born in Landrum, SC, February 4, 1921 to the late John and Collie Pearl Greenway. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus LaMar Dover in 1996.

Surviving are her daughter, Gail Dover; son, Jack Dover and wife, Freda; sister, Estelle Canipe; granddaughters, Marcie Dover Laney and Kayley Dover Elks and two great grandchildren Madison Brooke Laney and Robert Jaxon Elks, who she saw be born the day after her birthday.

Pearl worked for 50 years with the nursery aged children at First Baptist Church in Charlotte and was very gifted with young children and appreciated by many families.

Pearl enjoyed, the beach, cooking, entertaining, travel and especially going on cruises.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church, Friday, April 15, 2016, from 12:30 until the service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
