MATTHEWS – Louise Papoulias, 81, of Matthews, NC, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024. She was born February 2, 1943, in Montreal, Canada, to the late Emory Lenoir and Yevette Bray.

Louise was valedictorian of her high school class.  She retired from work in 2006 when she and her husband George moved from Columbia, MD to Matthews, NC and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Constantine Papoulias and his wife, Heather of Mint Hill, NC, and Elias Papoulias and his wife, Darci of Salem, OR; granddaughter, Alanis Papoulias of Burlington, VT, and grandson, Nicholas Papoulias of Mint Hill, NC.

A funeral service for Mrs. Papoulias will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 12, 2024, at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in memory of Louise to St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, NC 28270.
