Karlos Maigatter Gregory died peacefully Tuesday August 15, 2023, surrounded by family. Born August 20, 1936, in Charlotte, NC, Karlos was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Marrying her high school sweetheart later in life, she was the mother of two, grandmother of four, and great grandmother of three. Affectionately referred to as Mother and Grandma she enjoyed bowling, playing piano, and spending time with her dear friends and cherished loved ones. Always the life of the party, she was an active member of the Calvary Church congregation, Inspiring Hope Widows Group, and Red Hat Society.

Preceded in death by her husband James Alexander Gregory Jr. of Long Island, NY and daughter Karlos Gregory of Charlotte, NC, she is survived by sister Rada Ortman of Pensacola, FL, daughter Pamela Renee Gregory of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren Freedom Jackson and husband James of Charlotte, NC, Allen Gregory of Orem, UT, Zach Cates of Muskogee, OK, Tristan McCoy-Ledbetter of Charlotte, NC, and great grandchildren, Wyatt, River, and Brighlynn Cates of Muskogee, OK.

Memorial services will be held at the Chapel at Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226 at 11 AM, Monday, August 21, 2023. Graveside service will be held in the afternoon at 2:30 at Euto Baptist Church, 6019 Highway 205, Marshville, NC 28103. Donations in memory of can be made to the Calvary Church Building Fund in Charlotte, NC.
