Nikolaos “Nick” Kakavitsas passed away August 10, 2023. Nick was born September 18, 1960 in Neochori Evrytanias, Greece, son of Haralabos Kakavitsas and Spyridoula Zaharopoulos Kakavitsas.

Nick was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was deeply dedicated to his work as a restaurateur and co-owner of House Of Pizza in Charlotte, NC.

In addition to his parents, Nick is survived by his two children, Samantha and Harry Kakavitsas, his grandchild, Theodore Nikolaos Williams, and his siblings, Dimitrios Kakavitsas and his wife, Eleftheria, Konstantia Kanellos and her husband, Athanasios, Eleni Mitsios and her husband, Konstantinos, Paraskevi Kakavitsas and her husband, Georgios, Margarita Koutsokalis, Maria Kakavitsas and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Charlotte, NC.  The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
