So sorry to learn of the death of Doug, had privilege of serving with him while he was pastor FBC, Gastonia. Did not know of his passing until today while searching the web! He was a loving, caring pastor who in as much as possible practiced the way of Jesus. A blessing to those who know him.

Julia and I are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Aldrich. He was a wonderful pastor and friend and we know he is happy to be with Edna Lou again. It was indeed a pleasure and blessing to serve with him at First Baptist Church, Gastonia. It was also a pleasure to have them to dinner at our house after both Doug and Edna Lou and Julia and I moved to Charlotte. We sincerely regret that we cannot attend the service due to our relocation to Gastonia and my recent hospitalization.
